Join us on Thursday, 5 June to witness the thrilling opening stage of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women! We’ll be kicking things off at Forestry England’s Visitor Centre in Dalby Forest, and we’re inviting everyone to come out, line the route, and show your support!
📍 Start: Dalby Forest Visitor Centre, 11:30am
📏 Distance: 85.6km (53.2 miles)
🗺️ Route: North York Moors National Park and Tees Valley
🏁 Finish: Coast Road, alongside Zetland Park in Redcar, expected after 2pm
Along the route, riders will face two tough Queen of the Mountains climbs. The first is a 6km climb to Blakey Ridge from Hutton-le-Hole, averaging 4%, and the second a shorter but steeper ascent up Langburn’s Bank from Castleton, averaging just over 5% across 2km 😲 ⛰️
They’ll also contest an intermediate sprint at Newton-under-Roseberry, just before reaching Guisborough.
Come out and support our world-class riders as they battle it out across some of the most iconic and scenic roads in the region. No matter if you're local or just visiting, this is your chance to be part of an unforgettable day of elite women’s cycling. Let’s give them the warmest Yorkshire welcome and fill the roadside with cheering and energy! 🙌🎊
